Thanksgiving morning, coffee in hand, and the first balloon appears over Central Park West. The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade marches for the 100th time.
It steps off at 8:30 am from West 77th Street and Central Park West and makes its way to Herald Square.
The best views are along Central Park West from West 75th to West 61st Streets, and down Sixth Avenue from West 59th to West 38th Streets. The lead balloons reach Sixth Avenue at 59th Street around 9:30 am, so get there early and claim your curb.
